My Story
My love of baking started early. My parents often baked at home, and I grew up seeing them make different treats for their friends and family.
Fast forward to 2007... I returned to Pittsburgh after living in Hawai'i for a year. I then enrolled in the Le Cordon Bleu College in Pittsburgh, PA. I then graduated from there in 2008 with my pastry arts degree. That year, I got an internship at The Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ. I worked there for 8 years before going into plumbing sales (huge change, I know!!).
I have truly missed baking!! An opportunity opened up to be able to use a commercial kitchen for my business; so I started Salt Air Sweets. It is the perfect name because I love the beach and living on the shore, salt air has a positive effect on people, and desserts make people happy too!
